Finding a Suitable Horse Property

The Texas Hill Country has wonderful places for keeping horses but not all properties that allow horses are wonderful.  Some are too rocky - after all, rock created these hills.  Property listings may tell you if horses are permitted but can't tell you if the property is suitable for horses.  You need an equine savy agent to help you select horse friendly properties to tour.

Finding horse property listings on the internet is difficult because the search tools available do not provide criteria for "horses."  When you are looking for a horse property, you need to search based on 2 important criteria: 1) are horses allowed and 2) how many horses are allowed.  You may find a 7 acre property and a comment by the listing agent to "bring your horses."  This answers the first question.  But not the second.  If there are restrictions on this 7 acre property restricting owners to 2 horses for each 7 acres owned, then you are permitted to keep only 2 horses on this particular 7 acres.  If you own 3 horses, then this 7 acres won't do.

As a Buyer's agent, I am able to search for property that meets the criteria for your horse keeping needs.  Please use the form below to tell me about your horse keeping needs and I will email you listings that match your criteria.
